Hey, the XTi may not be the best thing out there, but it's better than the XT (which I have)! You'll never have to deal with cleaning off the sensor yourself (pain in zee buttocks, man).

Which lens did you get? I'm curious. I have an EF-S lens and I'm kinda sad it doesn't work with the 5-D! I wish was there was just one mount so I didn't have to worry over this shit.

PS Your comment on iPhone 2.0 made me laugh, but we all know it's true.
Ever since the iPhone announcement, I've been holding off on changing my contract or cellphone in preparation to buy one. Now I'm starting to get cold feet. The #1 thing giving me cold feet would probably be surprising to many: my Nintendo DS Lite. It turns out I can use the thing as an organizer, and I am entirely prone to take it with me everywhere...
I was actually deciding between the XTi and the 20D, but after fiddling around with both cameras, I've decided that the 20D is just too big for me at this time. The XTi, on the other hand, is way better for my wee hands.

I'm almost too embarrassed to mention the lens, it's so pricey! But here it goes: it's the EF-S 17-55 mm f/2.8 from Canon. I was debating between this and the 17-85 mm f/4-5.6 but I realized I really do want a fast lens since a majority of my shots are in low-light (plus I'm not a fan of flash). So pricey though! I don't know if it's better to return it and get a similar full-frame version.

Well, we'll see. If I end up liking it, I probably won't get another lens for a year :P
That's a good started lens. Nice aperture on it too, definitely do you good on your low light shots.
